Rebuidling our entire agency with AI.
TL/DR: Ditching WordPress, rebuilding everything with Astro and AI, everything going forward will be AI/Agent first.
I’ve been working in WordPress since 2009! It was a great run. No regrets. It helped me learn PHP and databases! Now it’s slowing me down. Not just in page speed. It’s slowing me down in everything.
Every change seems cumbersome. Plugins? lol. Themes? No need. Dashboards, post pages, pages pages, it all takes too long.
So I’m pivoting everything to be AI first.
The new stack: Astro + AI
I’m rebuilding everything in Astro. All designing will be done by Claude Code. Custom scripts? Also Claude code. Everything will be built to be AI first and AI centric.
Why tho?
I have no choice really. I don’t think anyone does. Going forward everything changes. Writing project plans and product requirements documents become the new workday. Building agents.md, skills.md, and instructions will be key assets on resumes. Embrace AI or die.
